Jayson Meyer

Founder and CEO of Synergy Billing
Introducing Jayson Meyer, Founder and CEO of Synergy Billing

M. Jayson Meyer founded Synergy Billing in 2006 to provide revenue cycle management, provider credentialing, and education to Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) across the nation.

One of Jayson's most enduring values is placing people before profits. In keeping with the mission of maximizing the potential of our community, he has resisted pressure to relocate his company closer to larger numbers of qualified job candidates. Instead, he has made a commitment to grow the company in Volusia County, where he was born and raised and where he is raising his own young sons. To that end, he has created the Synergy Career Academy to continue the training of local residents in the skills that the company needs. Moreover, while some companies have offshored many of their jobs to other countries in order to cut labor costs, Jayson maintains his commitment to providing local jobs.

The effectiveness of the Synergy Career Academy led the local workforce agency to partner with Synergy Billing to create Synergy Career Ignite, an intense four-month program that prepares long-term under- and uninsured people with no health care background for careers in medical coding and billing. After a successful inaugural class, the second class graduated in October 2017 and most of its graduates are currently employed by Synergy Billing.

In order to attract the most elite billing professionals in the nation and better serve Synergy Billing clients, Jayson has announced plans to develop a 25-acre corporate campus in Holly Hill that will include the company's headquarters, Synergy Career Academy, workforce housing, community health center, and daycare, fitness, and dining facilities.

Synergy Billing has been recognized as one of 50 Florida Companies to Watch by GrowFl and the Lowe Foundation. The company was #767 of the Inc. magazine 5000 fastest growing companies in the nation in 2016. In March 2016, Synergy Billing received First Place in the Bright House Regional Business Awards.

Jayson has become a fierce advocate for FQHCs and for improving access to health care, penning editorials, hosting public officials, and meeting with payers. He is also a leader of efforts to create an ecosystem that encourages entrepreneurism in Volusia County and a member of the Board of Directors of the Daytona Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce. In 2016, he was named Young Professional of the Year by the Volusia Flagler Business Report.

Jayson and his wife Misty, a former elementary school teacher, reside in the Daytona Beach area with their five small sons.
