Special Guest

Matt Ryan

Atlanta Falcons Quarterback
At the helm of the Atlanta Falcons offense, Matt Ryan is a fierce competitor who thrives under pressure, earning him the nickname 'Matty Ice'. The starting QB for Atlanta since his rookie year, Ryan has become a pillar of the franchise through his stoic leadership and team-first values. His humility carries through off the field, where he is a grounded family man who remains close to all those that helped him along the way. Intelligent and caring, Ryan actively uses his platform as a professional athlete to create positive change, whether through his annual Matt Ryan Celebrity-Am Golf Classic benefitting Children's Healthcare of Atlanta or his work with Boys and Girls Clubs, the Believe and Achieve Foundation, Make-a-Wish, and the NFL's Play 60 program. This first round draft pick and four-time Pro Bowl selection burst onto the scene in 2008 and continues to make a name for himself on the field as the quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons. In Matt Ryan's rookie season he was named the NFL AP and PFWA Offensive Rookie of the Year and awarded the ESPY for Best Breakthrough Athlete and ESPN the Magazine's Next Athlete Award. He was the first rookie quarterback to start all 16 regular-season games and make the playoffs and one of few quarterbacks to throw a touchdown on his first NFL pass. For the franchise, Ryan currently holds the career all-time records for pass attempts, pass completions, passing yards and passing touchdowns. In 2016, Ryan was named the NFL MVP. He has led the Falcons to five postseason appearances. Prior to his time in the NFL, Ryan was Boston College's starting quarterback from 2005 to 2007. He led them to three bowl victories and a 25-7 record in 32 starts. The All-American threw for 200 or more yards 15 times and is fifth all-time in school history in passing yards and in pass completions.
