Special Guest

Alex Collins

Former Arkansas Razorback and Current Baltimore Raven
Alex Collins, Baltimore Ravens running back and former standout for the University of Arkansas, will be coming back to Arkansas Friday, June 8 for a special night at the Fort Smith Convention Center as the special guest of the 2018 All-Star Preps event.
Collins is well-known to Arkansas fans who watched him light up the field as the first true freshman in SEC history to rush for 300 yards in his first three games as a Razorback. His college career was filled with dynamic plays and he finished his junior season with a career-high 1,577 yards and a school-record 20 rushing touchdowns. Collins is second on the Razorback career rushing yards list, behind only Darren McFadden. He is only the third player in SEC history to rush for 1,000 plus yards in three seasons, joining Herschel Walker and Darren McFadden.
As a pro, many consider Collins one to watch. After getting regulated to the back of the heap as a Rookie with the Seattle Seahawks, Collins earned a starting position for the Ravens in October. During Week 8, he rushed for a career high of 113-yards on 18 carries and caught two passes for 30-yards in the Ravens 40-0 victory against the Miami Dolphins.
One of his standout performances came against the Detroit Lions, where he had 75 yards on the ground and 23 in the air that combined with a career-high two touchdowns. Despite just 12 starts, he finished No. 11 in the league and had a standout year for the Baltimore Ravens in 2017, rushing for 973 yards, along with six rushing touchdowns.
Collins has contributed some of his success at eluding tacklers to some special training that he's had -- Irish dancing. He says the dancing helps him with footwork and keeping his balance.
Collins' passion for Irish dancing first appeared in Sports Illustrated last year, and his story has been featured on news channels in Ireland and throughout social media.
