Teresa Rand is currently the President/Chief Executive Officer for the Volusia Flagler Family YMCA. She has worked for the YMCA for 28 years; beginning her career as an aerobics instructor with the Albany, Ga. YMCA. She moved to Jacksonville, Fl in 1998 to work for the YMCA of Florida's First Coast. During her tenure in Jacksonville, she was the first female Executive Director of the downtown Winston Family YMCA and upon leaving, had risen to be the Chief Operating Officer with responsibility of more than 20 YMCA locations and a $32 million dollar budget. She moved to Volusia County in 2008 as the President/CEO of the newly merged Volusia Flagler Family YMCA. The Volusia Flagler Family YMCA consists of seven sites with 450 employees and an annual operating budget of $10 million.
Teresa announced her retirement from the Y last month (effective in early 2019) and is now embarking on her second act as a Leadership Coach, speaker, and Trainer for Individuals, Executives and Teams. She is also a certified yoga instructor and mindfulness meditation guide.
